Marking a global milestone for the University’s commitment to innovation, values-driven education, student support, research, sustainability and social impact,, the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation ranked No. 198 among the Global Top 500 Innovative Universities in the latest World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), released in WURI official website, May 5.

MSEUF earned its highest category placements in Culture/Values at No. 6, AI-Based Teaching and Learning Transformation at No. 7, Student Support and Engagement at No. 13, University Brand and Reputation at No. 16, and Student Mobility and Openness at No. 26.

The University also placed in other WURI categories, including Empowerment-Based Management at No. 43, University-Based Entrepreneurial Projects at No. 53, Cost-Effectiveness Management at No. 58, Funding for Sustainability at No. 60, Infrastructure/Technology at No. 64, Interdisciplinary, Convergent and Integrated Research at No. 71, Crisis Management at No. 72, Social Impact through Knowledge Transfer at No. 84, and Ethics and Integrity at No. 90.

The recognition became even more significant as WURI recorded a major increase in evaluated cases, from more than 3,000 last year to 11,211 this year. This wider field of participation made MSEUF’s No. 198 global ranking a stronger indicator of its growing competitiveness in innovation, relevance and real-world impact.

Vice President for Administration Atty. Dario said the University’s No. 198 placement among 500 institutions shows a stronger percentile standing compared with a ranking that may appear numerically higher but comes from a smaller pool.

“Being ranked 198 out of 500 is better than being ranked 157 out of 200, although 198 may appear higher than 157,” he said. “The percentile rate of 198 out of 500 is more advantageous because MSEUF is in the top 40%, while 157 out of 200 places an institution around the top 80%.”

Vice President for External Relations Celso described the ranking as a remarkable global achievement for MSEUF and a recognition of the University’s growing international presence.

“Being ranked 198th in the World University Rankings for Innovation is a remarkable global achievement for Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, affirming that MSEUF belongs among the world’s Top 200 universities recognized for innovation, relevance and real-world impact,” he said.

“More than a numerical distinction, this ranking reflects the University’s growing global presence and its ability to transform ideas into meaningful action through quality education, research, community engagement and strategic partnerships,” he added. “It is a proud testament to the collective efforts of the entire Enverga community — administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni and partners — whose dedication and shared vision made this milestone possible.”

Celso also credited the support and leadership of the University administration in advancing MSEUF’s global competitiveness.

“Above all, this achievement is made even more meaningful by the steadfast support and leadership of the administration, whose commitment to excellence and innovation continues to elevate MSEUF on the world stage,” he said.

The WURI recognition highlighted MSEUF’s efforts to develop innovative programs and institutional practices that respond to real-world needs through student-centered learning, ethical leadership, research collaboration, entrepreneurship, sustainability and community engagement.

Through this achievement, MSEUF continued to strengthen its position as a globally competitive university guided by Mindfulness, Service, Excellence, Unity and Fortitude. The recognition also affirmed the University’s educational philosophy of transformative, student-centered and outcomes-oriented learning.
