MSEUF PARTNERS gather for Envergans employability readiness

MSEUF's government and industry partners convened on November 7 at the Casa Segunda Museum, to express their commitment to a common goal of developing future-ready Envergans and to collaborate with the call for regional job growth. 

 

The 2nd Partners Summit aimed at formally recognizing the partners as members of the University’s program advisory council, which role is to provide updated insights on employability and curriculum development to ensure that MSEUF students receive industry-desired technical and soft skills of applicants. Likewise, it aims to update partners of the University’s continued quest for international accreditation, of which, employability of graduates is one important criterion. 

 

The keynote message was delivered by Ms. Candy Coloma, Skilling Regional Head of Wadwhani Foundation, who oriented the attendees to the goal of the Foundation, that is to help in the job growth of the region by providing free skilling modules that will make students more employable. Ms. Coloma shared that the target is for 1 million students to be more future-ready through the collaborations of academe and industries. Although “too good to be true”, Ms. Coloma encouraged MSEUF partners to coordinate with them for the free AI enabled modules that can enhance the workers’ soft skills. This call generated attention from partners, who are also into reskilling and upskilling of their employees. 

 

The summit also aimed at showcasing the Envergan talents, thus, MSEUF partners were treated to cultural presentations by MSEUF Concert Singers and Banyuhay Dance Troupe. Moreover, the summit was ably event organized by a group of CIHTM students, under the MICE or Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions subject.
