College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences

The College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences is the youngest department of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation. The administration seeing the increasing need and demand of healthcare professionals applied for and obtained the permit to operate the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program thus establishing the College of Nursing.

Throughout its existence, the College of Nursing has not stopped its effort to deliver quality nursing education since its first graduate in 2006, the college pave the good name of the university with its consistent list top notchers and the high performance in the Nurse Licensure Examination.

To date, the college has not stopped its effort to improve and expand. Its continuing quest for excellence in providing immediate respond to the needs of the community pave the way to the opening of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology Program in 2015 and continuously making a ride on the ever growing wave of local and global clamor for health professionals answering to the complex health care demands of the 21st century.

The College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, an integral part of the Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation shall produce competent nursing and medical technology graduates adequately prepared in the practice of their profession supportive of national development goals and standards of global excellence.

In 2030, the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences is a globally competitive nursing and allied health science institution responsive to the needs and demands of society and integrates into the social economic, cultural and environmental aspects of national building.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Graduates of the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences shall:

  • Shall practice as successful professional healthcare practitioners and administrators for the advancement of the society.
  • Promote professionalism in the practice of the healthcare and administration.

THE BSN PROGRAM

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is a four-year program consisting of general education and professional courses. Professional courses are threaded through from the first year thru the fourth year with emphasis on the nursing concepts corresponding Related Learning Experiences (RLE). The program provides an intensive nursing practicum that refines the nursing competencies thus ensuring achievement of the BSN program outcomes required of an entry level nurse.

The BSN Program aims to develop a professional nurse who is able to assume entry level positions in health facilities or community settings. The professional nurse that emerged from Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation should possess the necessary skills and competencies needed to provide safe, humane, quality and holistic care to individuals in varying age, gender and health illness status, healthy or at risk families, population groups and community, singly or in collaboration with other health care providers to promote health, prevent illness, restore health, alleviate suffering and provide end of life care.


THE BS MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science Program is a four-year program consisting of general education and professional courses. The four- year level is the internship program in a CHED accredited training laboratory with rotational duties in the different sections such as Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunohematology( Blood Banking), Immunology and Serology, Urinalysis and other Body Fluids ( Clinical Microscopy), Parasitology, Histopathologic/ Cytologic Techniques and other emergent technologies.

The Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology / Medical Laboratory Science aims to:

  • Develop the knowledge skills, professional attitude and values in the performance of clinical laboratory procedures needed to help the physician in the proper diagnosis, treatment, prognosis and prevention of diseases;
  • Acquire critical thinking skills in Medical Technology/ Medical Laboratory Science;
  • Engage in research and community related activities;
  • Participate in activities related to promoting the promoting the profession and actively engage in life-long learning undertakings; and
  • Develop collaborative and leadership qualities.
