Program Educational Objectives

The graduates of Civil Engineering program shall:

  1. Be effective in engineering design and the practical application of engineering theory in accordance with high standards of ethics.
  2. Be effective in communication skills and exhibit teamwork.
  3. Be successfully employed or accepted into graduate programs and serve their communities, whether locally, nationally or globally.
  4. Be successful designer, manager, planner and or entrepreneur in the practice of civil engineering profession serving local international or global communities.

Program Outcomes

A graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering shall have the ability to:

  1. apply knowledge of mathematics, physical sciences, engineering sciences to solve civil engineering problems.
  2. design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
  3. design, build, improve, and install systems or processes which meet desired needs within realistic constraints.
  4. work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
  5. recognize, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems.
  6. understand the effects and impact of civil engineering projects on nature and society, and of the civil engineers' social and ethical responsibilities.
  7. demonstrate specialized engineering knowledge in each applicable field, and the ability to apply such knowledge to provide solutions to actual problems.
