Overview

The MSEUF Dr. Cesar A. Villariba Research and Knowledge Management Institute (DCAVRKMI) manages, monitors, and evaluates research and knowledge production of the University. It formulates and implements the overall research agenda of the University - from designing, organizing, documenting, disseminating, and utilizing research and knowledge outputs.

The MSEUF DCAV Research and Knowledge Management Institute is committed to the production, dissemination, and utilization of new knowledge for human growth and social development.

 The MSEUF DCAV Research and Knowledge Management Institute:

  1. plans, directs and administers the University’s research agenda;
  2. provides a workplace, technical and professional assistance and facilities necessary for the conduct of research;
  3. assists researchers in keeping them abreast with the trends in research and in enhancing their research capabilities;
  4. monitors and supervises ongoing research activities and projects;
  5. reviews the annual research budget and grants;
  6. establishes linkages with external organizations for research funding;
  7. disseminates research outputs via publications and research colloquia;
  8. serves as the University databank of research and knowledge outputs; and
  9. manages the utilization and commercialization of research outputs.  

 

Quality Objectives

  1.  Continuously plan and direct with 100% implementation the University’s research agenda;
  2. Achieve a 100% provision of a workplace, technical and professional assistance and facilities necessary for the conduct of research;
  3. Provide 100% assistance to researchers in keeping them abreast with the trends in research and in enhancing their research capabilities;
  4. Conduct 100% monitoring and evaluation of ongoing research activities and projects;
  5.  Disseminate all research outputs via publications and research colloquia;
  6.  Establish at least one linkage with external organizations for research funding; and
  7. Conduct a tracer study at least once every five years.
