Program Educational Objectives

Doctor of Education

The Doctor of Education major in Educational Management will enable its graduates to:

1.be effective in educational leadership and the practical application of expert level of theoretical knowledge to the different areas of educational management;

2.apply the skills and competence drawn from body of knowledge in understanding and solving different problems related to education and educational management; and

3.develop competence to undertake advanced independent research in an area of educational management, including the ability to develop specific complex educational programs and systems, to evaluate such complex programs and systems, and communicate the results and implications of the research to diverse audiences.

4.be successfully employed as school leaders, managers, directors, principals, deans, superintendent, supervisor, and serve their communities, whether locally, nationally or globally.

Program Educational Objectives

Master of Arts in Education

The Master of Arts in Education program aims to train its students to:

1.upgrade their professional competence in such fields as education management curriculum and instruction, guidance and counseling, communication arts (English and Filipino), and mathematics education;

2.demonstrate professional and value laden skills as effective teachers, school administrators, managers, and consultants in the academic and research settings; and

3.apply research outputs in the practice of their professions as well as to make scholarly contributions to human knowledge.

Program Educational Objectives

Master in Business Administration

The graduate of the MBA program should be able to:

1.demonstrate competency across business disciplines, specifically apply the essential elements of core business principles to analyze and evaluate problems and to construct and implement solutions in the business environment.

2.perform teamwork and leadership skills in the evaluation of organizational conditions using a system perspective to determine necessary action.

3.practice high level of professionalism necessary to deliver the knowledge, expertise and skill of students through the application of research to business problems and issues.

4.demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of ethical principles at both the professional and community levels.

5.apply critical reasoning processes to specifically employ appropriate analytical models to evaluate evidence, select among alternatives, and generate creative options in furtherance of effective decision making.

6.develop superior oral and written communication skills relevant to business. Possess effective communication skills, specifically write business documents clearly, and analytically and speak in groups and in public clearly, concisely, and analytically, with appropriate use of visual aids.

7.be employed in a broad range of positions including chairman and chief executive officer, president, chief operating officer, chief financial officer, general manager, executive vice president, managing director, and manager in a variety of industries.

Program Educational Objectives

Master of Science in Criminal Justice with Specialization in Criminology

The Criminal Justice Graduate Program enables the graduates to:

1. develop well rounded research-oriented professional Criminologists.

2. enhance advanced and scientific knowledge and skills essential to the practice of Criminology.

3. enhance the critical and analytical understanding and appreciation of theories relating to crimes, victims and offenders.

4. enhance the ability to network and interact with national and global criminology practitioners and institutions.

Goals and Objectives of the Master in Public Administration Program

The MPA program aims to train its students to

1. Upgrade the quality of the governance of the bureaucracy.

2. Demonstrate skills in resource generation and effective management of government resources.

3. Show principled leadership in their workplaces.

4. Act as catalysts for social justice and sustainable development.

5. Apply relevant research findings in the public service.

6. Preserve and promote local, regional and national history and culture.

7. Pursue the value that public office is a public trust.
