Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Candelaria, Inc. (MSEUFCI) welcomed Dean Farley L. Abrigo as the new Dean of Studies and Administrative Officer effective this school year. Dean Abrigo will be responsible for the MSEUFCI’s academic and administrative operations as well as strategic development of the 17-year-old institution.Prior to his appointment, Dean Abrigo served as academic administrator and faculty member of the College of Computer Studies in the MSEUF Lucena Campus for 14 years, Dean of the College of Computer Studies (2003-2009), Director of the Institute of Information Technology (1998-2003), Coordinator of the Computer Center (1995-1998), and faculty member of the undergraduate (1995-present) and the graduate (2001-present) IT programs, respectively.

During his stint as the dean of Computer Studies, he led the college in being identified as a Center of Development in IT Education in the country, accredited Level II with PACUCOA, the only Computer Science program in Region IV to be so, and one of the few schools in the country deputized by the CHED as a delivering institution for Master in Information Technology faculty development scholarship program.

Dean Abrigo is currently the Vice President for Internal of the Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE) National Chapter, Member of the Technical Working Group for Information Technology of the CHED Technical Panel for IT Education, PACUCOA Accreditor for Computer Science/Information Technology/Information System programs, and CHED RQAT Assessor for IT programs in Region IV-A (Calabarzon).

Before joining MSEUF, Dean Abrigo worked as System Analyst/Programmer in Tayabas Community Hospital, Inc. (1992-2005). He was also a three-term municipal councilor of Tayabas, Quezon (1995-98/1998-2001/2001-04).

He concurrently serves as Enverga University ’s Information Technology (IT) Project Manager and Consultant for the IT projects and undertakings of its five campuses.

“Dean Abrigo’s impressive proven track record as academic manager and his passion for excellence will definitely have a great impact on the Candelaria Campus as we push our vision of replicating the stature of the Lucena main campus in all satellite campuses,” said Dr. Benilda N. Villenas, the University Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Dean Abrigo is now currently writing his dissertation in the Doctor of Educational Management program of MSEUF (Lucena). He earned his Master of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from AMA Computer University, Quezon City .

“I am honored to join the impressive team of Enverga Candelaria campus. Please join me in another chapter, as I zealously lead our beloved institution on its journey toward even brighter future and greater heights,” Dean Abrigo said in an interview. Retired Dean of Studies Felicitas N. del Fierro will assume the post of Consultant of the Candelaria Campus.
