The College of Architecture and Fine Arts is a former scion of the College of Engineering and Technical Department. Established in 1967 as the School of Architecture, it became a pioneer of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program at the Province of Quezon. The number of enrollees under this program experienced a significant increase during the 1990s as a result of its good standing at the licensure examinations. In 2014, the Architecture program was accorded with a candidate status by the PACUCOA. Two years later, the program was raised to Level I Accredited Status.
With the aim to continuously grow, the department opened its second program: Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Advertising in 2000.
The Bachelor of Science in Architecture over the past five decades performed strongly at the Architectural Licensure examination. Since 1967, the College has 607 graduates under the Architecture program and 50 students from the Fine Arts major in Advertising program. From the long line of Architecture graduates, 160 are full-fledged architects who have established themselves both in the industry and in the academe.

The College of Architecture and Fine Arts an integral part of MSEUF shall produce competent architects and visual communicators adequately prepared in the practice of the profession with the three-fold function: Instruction, Research and Community Service supportive of national development and standards of global excellence.

In 2030, the College of Architecture and Fine Arts is a globally competitive institution that directly focuses the thrust of Architecture and Fine Arts Education and its integration into the social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of nation building.
Statement of Objectives
Bachelor of Science in Architecture
The objectives of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture are to develop the following outcomes:
- Perform standard competencies in accordance with the scope of the global and local practice of Architecture.
- Show traits of professionalism, sense of responsibility, equity and patriotism.
- Receptiveness to new ideas and knowledge through scientific research.
- Direct and focus the thrust of Architecture and its integration into the social.
- Instill understanding of the basic philosophy and fundamental principles of the multi-dimensional aspects of Architecture and the direct relationship between man and his environment.
Bachelor of Fine Arts and Design
To produce Arts and Design professionals:
- Whose creative works exhibit core Filipino values.
- Who demonstrate high level of competencies in artistic reproduction in local and international settings.
- Who are committed to nation-building and lifelong learning
The program offerings of the department are the Bachelor of Science in Architecture which is taken for five years and the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Design major in Visual Communication which has a span of four academic years.
The Bachelor of Science in Architecture
Cultivates a wide range of skills to build the professional competencies of the students, with the main thrust of strengthening their design skills, analytical abilities as well as their communication and research skills as they pursue their respective pivotal roles in their profession as design specialists.
The rigors of this program sets the professional qualifications of the graduates through the Architectural Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission-Board of Accountancy (PRC-ALE).
Through this assessment, the graduates of the Architecture program satisfy the qualifications of a design specialist.

Bachelor of Fine Arts and Design
Major in Visual Communication
Develops the visual communication skills, analytical abilities, research skills and communication skills of students whose chosen professions are aligned with the media sector specifically in advertising and promotions, graphic design and publishing.
Students are required to exude flexibility in the application of various artistic tools through the traditional and digital schemes.

Section 31. Academic Standards
31.1.Admission
The College shall require all applicants for admission to pass an aptitude and skill entrance examinations.
Skills that will help the students succeed in the course (from PRC Career Primer)
- Artistic talent and drawing skills
- Technical skills: the ability to accomplish mathematical, engineering, scientific or computer related duties.
- Creativity
- Analytical skills; the ability to visualize, articulate and solve problems
- Basic Mathematical Skills: the ability to solve and use different computational methods
- English skills; the ability to read, write and converse in English as most technical literature is in English
- Interpersonal skills: will help in studying together with classmates, doing group assignments and forming connections with friends and colleagues.
31.2. Residency and Unit Requirements
As a general rule, no degree shall be conferred upon a student unless he/she has taken the last curriculum year in college which is to confer the degree and has completed a minimum of thirty percent (30%) of the total academic units of the program in the same college, or subject to the existing admission policies of the concerned institution.
As a general rule, a student shall be allowed to carry a maximum load as prescribed in the curriculum each term. However, graduating students may be allowed to carry additional units in excess of the requirement subject to the approval of the Dean. A student shall be permitted to take a subject only after passing its pre-requisite subject(s).
A student shall be given a grade of incomplete for non-compliance of the requirements of a subject. An incomplete grade shall not be given an academic credit and shall be completed within a period specified by the school but not to exceed more than one year (1) which is the given duration for the completion of grades. Otherwise the incomplete grade automatically becomes a failing grade.
- However, during the enrollment architecture students who are entering their second to fifth year of the program must not have any incomplete grades in any major or board courses, students with this deficiency must first comply with their unfinished requirements before enrollment.
- Qualifying examinations or assessment begins during the architecture students' third and fourth year in the program. The examinations will consist of the esquizze (drawing examinations) that will serve as an overall assessment that will cover their design competencies from the first and second year levels. Architecture students who did not pass the examination will undergo remedial examination and tutorials before they will undergo another round of evaluation and assessment.
31.3. Graduation
Each student shall satisfy all requirements for graduation as provided by the institution and CHED rules and standards before being conferred a degree in architecture.
